What is involved within this course? 
The key subjects - carrying out a site audit, how to develop an appropriate work programme and budget, the need to communicate findings to senior management, plus more are studied through a progressive one-day IOG Learning course. Delivered by an industry expert, this is a course which explores and discusses the needs of the management of a school's grounds and shows how this can be achieved. In addition, you will also receive a Certificate of Attendance. (Food and drink are provided).

3. Creating a 12-month work programme
4. Develop a resource profile to manage effectively and efficiently
5. Create a budget to support the work programme

Why should I participate in this course? 
This Level 3 course has been specifically designed for independent schools and as a direct progression course from the Level 2 Grounds: Maintenance & Management. The course helps you to consider the wider picture of what is needed to manage a grounds - including amenity and sports surfaces as well as ornamental plantings. Being able to create a formal management plan which clearly identifies the work required, resources needed and budget to meet the needs of defined standards plan is an essential part of helping senior management make well-informed decisions regards grounds management.  This course is worth 5 CPD points / 5 CPD hours.

Non-members pay: £300.00 +VAT
IOG members pay: £150.00 +VAT (50% off)

What can I do after this course?
To further build on the IOG route, undertake the Level 3 IOG Technical Diploma in Turf Surface Management – or Level 3 IOG Supervisory Management – providing formal qualifications in different aspects of turf management. These qualifications may be beneficial for people who have completed other courses at Level 3 who wish to further develop their understanding of the technical aspects of turf management or leadership and management skills. No practical work is involved with these qualifications.
