What does the course content cover?
The key subjects within this course are:
• The development of reinforced pitches
• The merits of using reinforced materials which are used within Football and Rugby natural turf pitches
• Typical inputs involved in the management of reinforced pitches
• The maintenance of air porosity
• Layering within the root-zone
• Maintenance issues specific to sand based reinforced pitches

What can I do after this course?
To further build on the IOG route and depending upon your requirements, undertake the Level 2 Certificate in Turf Surface Maintenance, the Level 3 IOG Technical Diploma in Turf Surface Management – or Level 3 IOG Supervisory Management – providing formal qualifications in different aspects of turf management. These qualifications may be beneficial for people who have completed other courses at Levels 2 or 3 and who wish to further develop their understanding of the technical aspects of turf management or leadership and management skills. No practical work is involved with these qualifications.
