What is involved within this course?
The key subjects - good working practices, turf standards, risk assessments, to basic equipment requirements, plus more are studied through a progressive one-day IOG Learning course. Delivered by an industry expert, this will provide you with an overview of the knowledge and understanding needed to carry out a range of effective turf maintenance and turf management practices. In addition, you will also receive a Certificate of Attendance. (Food and drink are provided).

Why should I participate in this course?
This Level 2 course has been specifically designed for independent schools. The course helps provide a focused overview of the core areas of turf maintenance and management involved with looking after grounds, playing fields and sports pitches. It will provide you with ideas for reflecting on your current maintenance practices and whether different working practices and approaches might help in improving the effectiveness of available resource use. This course is worth 5 CPD points / 5 CPD hours.
What can I do after this course?
To further build on the IOG route, enhance your learning by taking your next step with our Level 3 Grounds: Management one-day course, and depending upon your requirements, undertake the Level 2 Certificate in Turf Surface Maintenance, the Level 3 IOG Technical Diploma in Turf Surface Management – or Level 3 IOG Supervisory Management – providing formal qualifications in different aspects of turf management. These qualifications may be beneficial for people who have completed other courses at Levels 2 or 3 and who wish to further develop their understanding of the technical aspects of turf management or leadership and management skills. No practical work is involved with these qualifications.
