    Grounds & Natural Turf Improvement Programme

    Funded by The IOG, the Football Foundation, The Football Association and England & Wales Cricket Board, this programme is helping to raise pitch standards throughout grassroots sport.

This programme was launched in April 2014 for a three year period. It is now funded by The IOG, the Football Foundation, The Football Association and England & Wales Cricket Board. One administrator, two account managers and nine regional pitch advisors are connected to this programme. Their aim is to raise the standards of sports surfaces as well as the understanding of sports turf management practices among grassroots sports clubs across England and Wales. 

The team is managed by Jason Booth (previously head groundsman at Leeds Rhinos).
