IOG Line Marking Course

The IOG, in association with industry experts Fleet Line Markers, will deliver a 1 day course on setting and marking out.

The aim of the course is to provide delegates with the knowledge of the efficient, safe and legal aspects of line marking as well as providing an understanding of the range of line marking machines and line marking materials that are available. The course will introduce delegates to the basic competencies of setting out, prepare and applying line marking material.

The syllabus will cover:

 

  • Understanding the Health and Safety Requirements when applying line marking materials.
  • Interpret the Rules of the Game as applicable to line marking.
  • Identify and use a range of line marking materials
  • Identify and use a range of line marking equipment
  • Setting out a right-angle.
  • Initial marking sequence.
  • Overmarking routes
  • Metrication
  • Safe Working Practice

 

All IOG training courses are delivered by professional instructors who are, or have been, top level practicing groundsmen.  The course is supported by a comprehensive manual to assist in the ongoing development of skills and practices and each delegate will receive a certificate of attendance.
