The new Code of Practice for the Safe Use of Plant Protection Products
The new Code of Practice for the Safe Use of Plant Protection Products in Scotland and details on public access to information on pesticide use will soon be available from Defra. All Scotland IOG Members have been included in the mailing list from Defra to ensure that you folks know what the law says about the safe application of pesticides.
The new Code replaces the old orange code book. This Code of Practice is for all professional users of plant protection products in Scotland in respect of Part III of the Food and Environment Protection Act 1985 (FEPA) and the regulations controlling pesticides, particularly plant protection products, under that part of the Act.
