The IOG refocuses on Scottish members

The IOG recently met with key figures in groundscare at BT Murrayfield Stadium in Scotland to pursue active engagement with Scottish members and the extended grounds management sector, in line with aims outlined in its current strategy “From the Ground Up”.

In a post-meeting interview conducted by Turf Business magazine, IOG CEO Geoff Webb said: “The IOG acknowledges that since the demise of its annual ScotsTurf event, there has been less IOG activity in Scotland. However, today is a starting point to realign our focus in Scotland, to highlight key issues and start active and productive communication with our Scottish members.

The meeting took place at BT Murrayfield Stadium, the grounds team of which won the 2015 IOG Kubota Professional Rugby Grounds Team of the Year award and who’se head groundsman, Jim Dawson, won the IOG’s ultimate 2015 Ransomes/DLF Alex R Millar Groundsman of the Year award.
