IOG Scotsturf Order Book Means Good Vibrations For Midland Power Machinery Distributors
Having just received an order for a mixture of over 300 pedestrian mowers as well as brushcutters and hedgecutters as a direct result of exhibiting at last year’s IOG Scotsturf exhibition, John McGhee, area sales manager for Midland Power Machinery Distributors, is understandably a happy man.
The five-figure deal is the latest in “a significant increase in business secured from local authorities and contractors” from the show, he says. “This not only reflects the calibre (buying power) of visitors to IOG Scotsturf, but is also a measure that our products exhibit the key USPs of reliability, quality, and back-up and service in addition to good anti-vibration features,” he adds.
“We work very closely with our dealer network ensuring end user after-sales service is a priority, rather than us being viewed as just selling machines in boxes.”
Midland Power Machinery Distributors imports, distributes and exports machinery, replacement spare parts and lubricants for the horticultural and tool hire sectors via a network of distributors, dealers and tool hire companies. It exports to over 20 countries.
The IOG Scotsturf orders for the mixture of Rover mowers and Sarp brushcutters and hedgecutters – which were being exhibited alongside representatives from the Power-Mec ground care, construction and timber product ranges – and “the impressive level of enquiries received” prompted the company (www.midlandpower.co.uk) to immediately re-book for this year’s show (7-8 November, Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh).
“And,” says John McGhee, “we just can’t wait!”
