County Tree Surgeons hire extra staff to meet increased workload
County Tree Surgeons has employed an extra five staff in 2010 to meet work on two new contracts and an improved wood yard.
County Tree Surgeons has been awarded contracts with Brighton and Hove City Council and Roundshaw Homes, as well as expanding its wood yard.
An extra five staff have been employed this year to carry out the work, and County Tree Surgeons' commercial manager Rachel Farrow told HW there were plans to take on at least another two experienced arborists.
"We definitely need to take on a couple of extra staff, and beacuse of the quality of work required they would need to be very experienced," she explained.
The firm also produces wood products for power stations, as well as expanding into logs to meet demand from pubs using log burners.
"We are doing more on logs and wood chip so we are planning ahead and really getting that up and running as a business," added Farrow.
