Stressing the great synergy between both businesses, Howard said the deal was the culmination of five years of talks. There is currently a portfolio of 140 complementary products sold in the same sports marketplace that will be promoted through a dealer network.
Howard added: "A new market for us that we feel has great growth potential is maintenance equipment for artificial sports surfaces. Schools and universities in the UK and countries such as Poland appreciate they can get more play hours out of this type of surface."
The company is undergoing a period of review and is assessing the whole operation. It plans to increase its overseas market base in the USA, Arab nations, Japan, Malaysia, Russia and throughout Europe.
"Informed decisions will be made on all aspects of our operations, including factory performance and spare parts supplies," added Howard. The business expects to launch developments of existing products within the SISIS range at IoG Saltex in September.
Elsewhere at BTME, Mantis UK announced it had become sole importer of Classen turf care machinery in the UK. The range includes turf cutters - both mechanical and hydrostatic-drive versions - traditional and split-drive aerators together with turf rakes and seeders.
The event also saw Campey Turf Care Systems general manager Tony Cundall, who has attended every BTME show throughout his 21 years working with the company, celebrating the business's 25th anniversary.
Campey has grown from its initial role as a contractor into an importer of new equipment that sells throughout Europe.
The US Dakota spreader has been the company's mainstay in the golf market, followed by Imants and Vredo. On the natural turf pitches side, the Koro is able to strip off the top layer while leaving the subsoil undisturbed.
