Pinley's Help for Heroes Twickenham trek

Rossborough and Garforth pledge support

Players and members of Coventry club Pinley are to walk to Twickenham Stadium to raise funds for the Help for Heroes services charity.

Around 20 Pinley members will walk the 120 miles from the Midlands Four West (South) club's Wyken Croft ground to Twickenham over five days starting on May 2.

They intend to camp at rugby clubs and military bases along the way and to walk up to 25 miles-a-day with a large part of the journey on canal towpaths.

Former England internationals Peter Rossborough, now the chairman of National One club Coventry, and Darren Garforth have already pledged to attend the first day of the journey and Pinley are seeking the support of other rugby internationals and footballers to help raise the profile of the event.

Pinley have already set up a Just Giving pages for potential sponsorship and that can be found at: www.justgiving.com/PinleyWalk.
