Parish Councillor uses IOG SALTEX to 'scope' new play equipment
As Chairman of Sussex-based Angmering’s Parish Council’s Leisure Committee, Councillor Sylvia Verrinder needs to keep up-to-date with developments in play equipment – and her visit to last year’s IOG SALTEX open space management show with Council colleagues was an invaluable fact-finding mission in determining suitable replacement equipment.“A review of our play areas will be conducted sometime this year and we will need to invest in equipment that is more stimulating for the children,” she says. “Some of the older pieces are showing signs of wear and tear, and these will need to be replaced when money becomes available.”Explaining that this was her first visit to IOG SALTEX, Sylvia says she intends to visit this year’s show (Windsor Racecourse, September 6-8) if re-elected in May; otherwise she will certainly recommend the event to her successor.Published: 11/05/2011
