The IOG’s Young Board of Directors (YBD) will be visiting this year’s IOG SALTEX show on Wednesday September 7 and they welcome the opportunity to say hello and hear the views of industry colleagues.
The six-strong panel of groundscare professionals aged up to 25 years - Rory Ferguson, Will Graves, Ryan Golding, Iestyn John, John Ledwidge and Nick Phillips – will be available throughout the day to discuss ways in which they can help the IOG provide a route for continuous recruitment and appropriate training, thus helping to encourage a new and younger workforce in the industry.
The YBD is already working with the IOG’s professional and experienced team and with the IOG Board, as well as with key industry experts. Importantly, it is a key focus of the group to engage with young people from school level upwards in the hope of being able to show what the industry has to offer.
Ian Lacy, Head of Professional Services at the IOG, added: “Having the guys at IOG SALTEX is exciting and will allow visitors and exhibitors alike to discuss issues currently facing the industry. The IOG is looking forwards to the positive impact the YBD will have on the youth entering the industry.”
So, if you’re at IOG SALTEX on Wednesday September 7, find time to say hello and have an input into the industry’s future.
