IOG SALTEX to host professional football playing surfaces conference
IOG SALTEX 2011 will be held on September 6-8 at Windsor Racecourse
This year’s IOG SALTEX open space exhibition (Windsor, September 6-8) will for the first time host professional football’s Playing Surfaces Committee’s bi-annual Conference, a day-long programme of informative and interesting seminars and debates on a range of topical issues of concern to groundsmen from the 92 professional clubs in the Premier League, and the Football League’s Championship and Leagues 1 and 2.
Being staged on Thursday September 8 in The Grandstand, the Conference is one of a host of special attractions and education streams being planned to make IOG SALTEX event bigger and better than ever.The Playing Surfaces Committee comprises representatives of The Premier League, the Football League, the Professional Footballers’ Association, the Sports Turf Research Institute and the Institute of Groundsmanship. The Football Association are observers alongside Alan Ferguson of Ipswich Town FC and Darren Baldwin of Tottenham Hotspur FC as representatives of the groundsmen in the Football League and Premier League, respectively.The programme of events for the Conference is due to be announced in the Spring.Published: 31/01/2011
