The Football League has announced that it has agreed headline sponsors for three of its key categories for the Football League Awards 2012.
The Official Ball Supplier to The Football League, Mitre, will sponsor the Goal of the Year award for the sixth consecutive year, which will be judged on Sky TV’s Soccer AM for the fourth year running.
Football Manager has also come on board to sponsor a new award for 2012, recognising the Outstanding Managerial Achievement from the last 12 months.
Technology specialists, Perform, will continue its support of the Awards by looking at some of the outstanding marketing strategies implicated by Football League clubs over the last year.
David Malkinson, head of marketing for The Football League said: ‘It is fantastic to be working with Perform, Football Manager and Mitre again for the 2012 Awards.’
‘The Awards allow us to recognise the great work going on at all 72 Football League clubs and the continued support year-after-year of our partners is essential in making the event such a success.’
