Agrovista strengthens horticultural arm
Agrovista UK, the leading agronomy specialist, crop protection and horticultural product distributor has announced its further expansion in horticulture, and additional growth in the glasshouse, ornamental and salad markets.
Agrovista has just completed the purchase of the North East based horticultural distributor DASCH UK Ltd, owned and managed by Derek Atkinson, to further secure its position in the specialist horticultural market.
DASCH is based at Cottingham in Yorkshire, and supplies services to glasshouse and ornamental growers in East Yorkshire and Humberside. All staff will transfer to Agrovista, and Derek Atkinson will continue to manage this part of the Agrovista Horticulture business from the existing DASCH premises.
"This agreement with Agrovista enhances our ability to access wider technology in the industry an allows us a greater range of products, whilst still continuing to provide a first class service to our customers," comments Mr Atkinson.
Agrovista, the broad-based agronomy and supply company moved into the protected crop market early in 2011 and is continuing to invest in the sector with ambitious plans for expansion and market development.
