IOSH Event 13th October 2011

Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Rural Industries Group Tree Safety Management Event

To be held at Alnwick Castle on 13 October 2011

It will focus on the management of risk to public safety from tree failure, rather than the safety aspects of work on or in trees by employees or contractors. As such it will be relevant to anyone responsible for managing open spaces and maintenance of premises, and the safety of people who have access to anywhere trees are growing, eg public spaces/estates, sports/leisure facilities, schools/universities, hospitals and other public and private organisations, retail/office parks, industrial and utility premises, transport network (road, rail, water), etc. This would include:

  • premises/estates managers
  • principals, governors or bursars (at academic institutions)
  • contract managers and supervisors
  • landscapers, grounds maintenance and construction companies
  • regulators - Local Authority Environmental Health Officers, Tree Officers, etc
  • tree inspectors, consultants and advisors to any of the above.
