RJ Corbin's Travels of a Bothy Boy

Travels of a Bothy Boy

The autobiography of Bob (Rob) Corbin, a founding member of the IOG, past IOG President & board member, recipient of the IOG Lifetime Achievement Award and the first fellow member of the Institute. This publication tells the story of Bobs life and his achievements with beautiful illustrations and pictures from his life and the horticultural world.

Born and schooled in the New Forest he began his career as a garden boy for two spinsters in Hampshire. This was a stepping stone into the gardening world that saw him as 'Bothy Boy' at some of the finest country mansions in the UK.

Amount his finest achievements as Horticultural Manager of London County Council was the landscaping of the heavily blitzed housing estates in war torn London and the refurbishment of the Royal Parks including advising HM The Queen on the Ceremonial Lawns at Buckingham Palace.
